I'm pleased to join Windermere/Richard B. Smith. I joined this brokerage because of its mission to serve the community through leadership, the highest ethical standards, and uncompromising honesty and integrity. I'm proud to find a brokerage whose mission matches my own personal standards of excellence.
I hold a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Oregon University (Go Mountaineers!) in Economics with an emphasis in Administration. My alma mater hired me after graduation and I served the campus in several capacities for 16 years. I was voted "Administrative Faculty of the Year" by my peers largely due to the sucessful completion of a $32 million capital campaign to bring a new science center to campus. After years of serving as chief director of philanthropy, I now enjoy exercising my own philanthropic goals by volunteering my time and treasure to non-profits in the Boise community.
Born in Emmett, raised in Boise and Meridian, I'm a loyal native Idahoan. I graduated from Meridian High School when there was only one high school in Meridian. This area certainly has grown during my absence! My claim to Idaho fame is that I played back-up center for Tresa Spaulding who later went on to BYU and the Pan American games. Our team was inducted into the "Legends of the Game" hall of fame a few years ago. I went on to play basketball and volleyball at Eastern Oregon University (EOU). While I enjoyed my tenure in Oregon, it's good to be back in Idaho!
I am related to many, many of you in Idaho. My maiden name is Mouritsen and my mother's maiden name was Rose. I married my best friend, Wes McAllaster, on the EOU baseball field at home plate in 1995. Wes served as the skipper of the EOU baseball team for over 10 years. He is now teaching special education in the Boise school district and coaching at Middleton High School.
