Windermere Boise Scholarship Program

Starting a new tradition we decided in 2017 to give five, $1000 scholarships to treasure valley kids who will be attending in-state secondary school. This year five lucky students receive those scholarships to help them with tuition and books. We are excited to offer a scholarship to students in the Treasure Valley. The Windermere Foundation is a nonprofit organization, created by Windermere Real Estate for the purpose of raising and providing funds to support low-income and homeless families throughout the West. Every time a Windermere Real Estate agent sells a home, a portion of the commission is donated directly to the Foundation. Granting scholarships to students who have demonstrated a concern for their community is one of the many projects the Windermere Foundation supports.

Scholarship Guidelines:

  • Five $1000 scholarships shall be awarded.
  • Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who are furthering their education in the State of Idaho beyond the high school years.
  • The scholarship may be used at any accredited post-high school institute of higher education in the State of Idaho.  The funds will be paid directly to the school upon proof of enrollment of full time status.
  • In order to receive the scholarship, the student must attend the fall semester of school immediately following the awarding of the scholarship.
  • Judging criteria will be based on financial need, extracurricular activities, and  scholastic achievement.
  • Applications must be returned no later than April 15, 2019.
  • A committee of Windermere Foundation Representatives will select the scholarship recipients each year.

Few things we do in life will have a greater impact than supporting the development and education for the children of our community. Please join us in collecting books for low-income children in the Treasure Valley.

This is such a great event and we’d love for you to get involved again. As you know, this initiative is focused on reducing summer learning loss for Idaho low-income children. This weeklong event is designed to inspire and unite Idahoans in the spirit of helping low-income children achieve reading competencies that will lead to lifelong success.

Our goal is to energize our great community by capturing the philanthropic spirit within each one of us through partnerships; volunteerism, sponsorship and lots of book donations. This year’s goal is to collect and distribute 100,000 books for Treasure Valley’s low-income children! We have our work cut our for us, but we know that, with partners like you, we can make it happen.
